Estic desitjant anar a Suècia!

Being a Host Family: An Unforgettable Experience

The experience of hosting Maria, an Erasmus student from Sweden, in my home has been very positive and enriching. From the very first moment, I have felt very comfortable and I have really enjoyed spending time with her, as to this day I still think there could not have been a better girl to take part in the Erasmus programme. Throughout her stay, we did many activities together, such as visiting the Albufera, going to the circus, the cinema, the Bioparc, the fair, and walking around the city centre, which allowed us to create very special memories.

We also shared moments related to sport, training basketball together, and we had the opportunity to try and enjoy traditional Valencian food. In addition, we spent time at home doing calmer activities, such as game nights and moments of living together, which helped to create a close and pleasant atmosphere.

My family treated her very well and she did the same with them; over time, it felt as if they had one more daughter. Thanks to this experience, I have been able to

learn and practise English a lot, which has been very beneficial on a personal level. We are currently still in touch and, overall, I consider it to have been a very positive experience that I would recommend without any doubt to anyone. I am really looking forward to going to Sweden!
